The Lasting High Power Output

Blue-O has developed a potent and novel electrode composition and structure that has sustained the needed power generation far over 25000 hours. This innovation included a novel Engineered Layer Structure Electrode (ELSE) that showed amazing performance and exceptional durability.

This novel electrode composition and structure can work with all commercial materials and compounds as they redefined how the materials or compounds to be used with their intended functionality. The electrodes stabilized over 247,000 voltage cycles according to USA DOE HDV MEA AST protocol, with a sustained power density at 1.20 W/cm^2, or 2.00 A/cm^2 at 0.60 V after testing. In a layman term, it can last over 40,000 hours with stable high-power output. For any HDV vehicle runs at 50 MPH, it can run over 2,000,000 Miles before it sees slowing down. Adopting such novel membrane electrode technology in current hydrogen fuel cell stacks will bring out their best performance and durability at an affordable cost.

The Underlying Science

The underlying scientific reason for such lasting high power production by Blue-O's ELSE membrane electrodes was examined by measuring the ECSA during the testing procedure.

In the above figure, the loss of ECSA was reduced dramatically over first 30,000 cycles. Then the loss over next 210,000 cycles showed about 10% while it remained over 63 m^2/g Pt, which was sufficient to produce a high power output.

The above data were obtained through a systematic and scientific testing protocol in a Canadian National Laboratory. The similar results were obtained repeatedly.

This portion of technological work bears significant important for human society to tackle the rising climate change. The fast deployment of this ZE Power clean energy technology can vastly reduce and even reverse the climate change in a short period.
